Gorditas are a Mexican treat that fits in all meetings. Follow this recipe and prepare them yourself!

INGREDIENTS

(For 4 People)

  • 1 kilo of good dough for tortillas
  • 250 to 300 grams of lard
  • Salt to taste

The filling

  • Pork rind
  • Fresh cheese
  • Refried beans
  • Bean dried, cooked and crushed

To accompany

  • Cream
  • Green sauce, raw or cooked to taste
  • Crumbled fresh cheese
  • Chopped onion

PREPARATION

Mix the dough with the salt and the butter to make a manageable dough; With it, gorditas are made approximately 10 centimeters in diameter by 2 thick, then these are opened in the center and carefully filled with the desired filling; Finally, they close perfectly and cook on the hot griddle, turning them from time to time, for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they are well cooked.

The cooked green sauce is made by cooking the serrano peppers together with the green tomatoes and grinding them. The raw sauce is made by grinding the serrano peppers with the green tomatoes, all raw.
