A beautiful Franciscan ensemble built between 1560 and 1570. The facade of the temple is in the Plateresque style, with its arch and jambs surrounded by an alfiz and all beautifully decorated with stylized flowers of medieval influence.

The interior of the temple preserves three canvases from the 17th and 18th centuries, the work of the masters Miguel Herrera, Arellano and one of the Rodríguez Juárez, and an attractive door carved into the baptistery. The open chapel is very beautiful, in a Plateresque style with a certain Mudejar air and exhibits in its arch a group of carved medallions surrounded by an alfiz. Finally, the cloister is one of the most beautiful in the region, as it presents its arches carved in stone with interesting carved motifs and smooth, striated and spiral shafts.

Visit: daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

It is located in Tlahuelilpan, 15 km northeast of the city of Tula de Allende, by state highway s / n.
