Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful complexes in the country, due to its magnificent architecture and well-preserved wall paintings.
Its construction began in 1550 and the work is attributed to Fray Andrés de Mata. In 1573 the complex was already completed and had a temple, an open chapel, a convent, stables, a vegetable garden and a huge cistern for community use.
They emphasize the cover of the temple, of plateresque style with its casetoneed archivolt; the open chapel, very large and simple, with a barrel vault decorated in fresco with coffered ceilings; the Mudejar-inspired tower that is topped with battlements and garitones; the entrance to the cloister with its magnificent gate; its arches, the details of doors and windows and the mural paintings of the stairwell; and finally the garden, with a side loggia of great beauty.
