If you love to walk around and you are a fan of the Star Wars series just like I am, it will probably not surprise you that many of the scenes were filmed in places on this planet that you can actually visit without having the need to use an X - wing Model T 65. As you may recall, the X-wing T65 is one of the most powerful fighter aircraft due to the speed it achieves, the firepower and its sophisticated navigation systems.

I invite you to take a walk through 15 locations that were used to film some of the scenes in the "Star Wars" saga.

1.- Luke's Tatooine Home

Location: The Sidi Driss hotel in Matmata, Tunisia

As you may recall, the house where Luke Skywalker and his uncle grew up that we saw in episode IV was in a kind of hole. You will not find this place on the planet Tatooine, but you can visit it in Tunisia. Driss The Sidi hotel located in Matmata was one of the most important locations in the saga, nicknamed the Star Wars hotel.

It is a traditional Berber house of troglodyte architecture built several centuries ago. The history of this place is unknown, there are only versions of the settlers who affirm that it dates from 264 to 146 BC. The region was unknown to outsiders until a severe flood forced the villagers to ask the Tunisian government for help.

By visiting this place you will be able to know where the most extraordinary scenes were filmed inside, such as Padme's escape and the battle for Naboo. In this hotel you will have a minimum of luxury and comforts, like those of a real wet farm, however you can wander through the rooms where you will enjoy the warmth that they retain from the movies filmed in the seventies.
