Near Acapulco there are natural wonders that contrast with the popular tourist center.

In stark contrast to the hectic life of the tourist centers of Guerrero - Acapulco, Ixtapa and Taxco - there are secluded places, such as the Coyuca and Tres Palos lagoons, near the port of Acapulco, and the one in Michigan, on the route to Zihuatanejo. , which constitute true natural paradises where it is possible to enjoy hunting and fishing, skiing and boat rides.

LAGOON OF COYUCA

The Coyuca lagoon, whose formation originates at the mouth of the river of the same name, maintains the charm that has always characterized it; You can still see the fishermen in their traditional canoes going in search of the fruits of the sea, and throwing the small nets into the air with the patience that the passage of time has given them.

The walks through the lagoon are very relaxing, in motor boats for fifteen or twenty passengers that make the route to the bar, in the middle of a landscape surrounded by mangroves where herons nest and a great diversity of birds.

The place is ideal for practicing water sports in fresh water, with the protection offered by the ski clubs on the shore of the lagoon. If you are staying in the port, it is advisable to make the trip to the lagoon, practice your favorite sport, enjoy a “buddy” broth during the meal and in the afternoon go to Pie de la Cuesta to watch the sunset. in front of the waves that break enormous on the Guerrero coast.

LAGOON OF TRES PALOS

In the middle of a landscape of singular beauty, the Tres Palos lagoon is usually visited by those who like hunting and fishing. In its environment, flocks of ducks spend the night throughout the year, which have become one of its main attractions. Some lizards are still observed in their environment and the necessary environment is preserved that makes possible the existence of other animal species in the region.

LAGOON MÍCHIGAN, ANCIENT ISLAND OF PÁJAROS

For those who are willing to take an adventure that requires more effort and a real taste for natural environments, it will be of great interest to visit the Michigan Lagoon. Although it does not have services for tourism, it is an excellent place to fish, hang out with the fishermen and observe - already at sunset - incredible landscapes topped by the lilting swaying of coconut trees.
