Our mouths were watering preparing this Villa Montaña style meat. Follow this recipe step by step and taste it at home.

INGREDIENTS

(For 10 people)

  • 2 kilos of pork loin or leg cut into medium squares
  • 1 onion quartered
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of lard
  • 750 grams of tomato
  • 4 or 5 serrano peppers
  • ½ small onion
  • 250 grams of poblano pepper roasted, peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 1½ cups cooked corn kernels

PREPARATION

The meat is cooked with water, onion and garlic. When soft, drain and brown in the lard. The tomato is ground with the serrano pepper and the onion and strained over the meat, it is left to season very well over a low heat and the slices and corn kernels are added.

PRESENTATION

It is served in a deep clay plate accompanied by beans from the pot and freshly made tortillas.
