The former Convento del Carmen is a space open to the public, where artistic manifestations of various kinds are carried out continuously.

In its five rooms there are exhibitions of painting, photography or sculpture, both by local and foreign artists. Other permanent activities are Musical Tuesdays and Literary Wednesdays. The former promote both ancient and avant-garde chamber music, with special emphasis on Jalisco music and young values. The Literary Wednesdays were founded in 1980 by Elías Nandino to meet the public with the various manifestations of literature: book presentations, readings, conferences and seminars on various authors. This venue has a movie theater, cafeteria and book store.

Location: Av. Juarez 638, Guadalajara, Jalisco.
