In this unique temple, built at the end of the 18th century, is one of the most beautiful examples of the Mexican popular baroque style, taken to its maximum expression.

Its façade is of great ingenuity, as it presents tiny sculptures that seem not to fit in its niches. Inside, the magical profusion of polychrome plasterwork is surprising, where the indigenous architect gave free rein to his imagination. Through the walls, vaults and cupola, the cherubs and angels with clear indigenous features seem to spill out among a true jungle of tropical fruits and colorful foliage.
