To get to Hermosillo you can take highway No. Very close to there, 107 km away, is Bahía Kino, one of the best beaches in Sonora.

There is the town of Kino Viejo, where communities of indigenous Seris live, the inhabitants of neighboring Isla Tiburon. The tourist infrastructure in Kino Viejo is excellent and has pleasant spaces of interest for visitors such as the Museum of the Seris, where samples of the art and culture of this unique town are exhibited. Both in Bahía Kino and Isla Tiburon it is possible to practice diving.

Isla Tiburon is one of the most important ecological reserves in Sonora, where not only the Seris live, but also endangered animal species such as the bighorn sheep, the mule deer and the white-tailed deer. To visit this reserve, the presentation of a special permit issued by the corresponding authorities is requested.

Another appropriate place to visit is La Pintada, a town located 59 km south of Hermosillo where there is a canyon that houses paintings and petroglyphs attributed to the Seris.
