These buildings are examples of the architecture of Coahuila ...

SALTILLO PLAZA DE ARMAS

Beautiful square that exhibits in its central part a magnificent fountain called "Las Ninfas". We recommend you take a walk around the place and sit for a while on one of its cozy benches.

SANTIAGO'S CATHEDRAL

This building, whose construction began at the beginning of the 19th century, presents a mixture of Baroque, Churrigueresque, Roman and Plateresque styles. On its facade you can admire the excellent carving made in quarry. Inside, a silver front of the altar of Saint Joseph stands out, a work from the early nineteenth century, whose importance is evident as it is part of the collection "México, Esplendor de 30 Siglos"; also there we find more than forty oil paintings from the viceregal period, among them a Virgin of Guadalupe attributed to José Alcíbar.

THE GOVERNMENT PALACE

Built in the first half of the 19th century in pink quarry, its interior is decorated with murals from Almaraz and Tarazona that show a historical version of Coahuila. Inside the building the Venustiano Carranza Museum is located.

COAHUILENSE INSTITUTE OF CULTURE

The building that houses the Coahuilense Institute of Culture, belonged to prominent families of the 19th century. In it you can admire regional and national works of art.

TEMPLE OF SAN ESTEBAN

This temple symbolizes the meeting point between the Spanish town of Saltillo and the town of San Esteban de la Nueva Tlaxcala.

VITO ALESSIO ROBLES CULTURAL CENTER

Inside this cultural center is the valuable library owned by the famous historian Vito Alessio Robles, as well as two rooms for temporary exhibitions and an auditorium. The patio is decorated with a mural made by the painter Elena Huerta.

RUBÉN HERRERA MUSEUM

Nice house where the work of the Zacatecan artist Rubén Herrera (1888-1933) is permanently exhibited. The enclosure preserves part of the original furniture of the master Herrera.
