We give you the perfect recipe to prepare a delicious and peculiar dessert: snowy milk.

INGREDIENTS

(For 8 people)

  • 2 liters of milk
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 spoonfuls of cornmeal
  • The scrape of two lemons

For the meringue:

  • 3 egg whites
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • A few strips of lemon peel to garnish

PREPARATION

Put the milk with the sugar to boil over low heat for 15 minutes, remove it from the heat and let it warm. The yolks are mixed with the cornstarch and added to the above, beating with the wire whisk, the lemon zest is added and it is put back on the fire until it thickens a little. Let it cool, pour it into the containers in which it is to be served, garnish with the meringue and a lemon peel strip and refrigerate.

Meringue:

The whites are beaten to the point of nougat, the sugar is added little by little while continuing to beat.

PRESENTATION

The snowy milk dessert is served in glass goblets or porcelain bowls.
