This beautiful waterfall almost 60 meters high is a sight that you must see. Visit it!

Uruapan is located 50 km west of the city of Pátzcuaro. South of this place is the Tzaráracua, an impressive and beautiful waterfall of about 60 m high. The infinity of water seepage gives the rock wall the appearance of a gigantic sieve. To descend to the bottom of the canyon and see this wonderful spectacle up close, you can walk down more than 500 steps! Or if you prefer, rent a horse that will take you along a lush path.

Nearby you can also visit the Barranca de Cupatitzio National Park, or the archaeological zone of Tingambato, 18 km away.

In the Tzaráracua the athlete will find the possibility of rappelling, since the rock of the canyon is of volcanic origin. There are also camping areas in the esplanades near the viewpoints where there are grills, toilets, firewood and a roof where you can shelter from the rain.

Visiting hours: Access hours are from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
