The encacahuatado cuete is a tasty dish. Here we give you the recipe to prepare it.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg of beef or temera
To wick: 2 thick slices of bacon, cut into strips, 1 thick slice of Serrano ham, cut into strips, 1 thick slice of cooked ham, cut into strips, 3 tablespoons of corn oil, salt and pepper to taste.
To cook the meat: 1 onion, halved, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 bay leaf, 1 sprig of oregano.
For the sauce: 2 tablespoons of lard or corn oil, ½ finely chopped onion, 150 grams of roasted peanuts, 1 slice of box bread, 3 roasted and peeled medium tomatoes, 2 cloves, 4 black peppers, 1 slice of cinnamon, salt and to taste. For 6 people.
PREPARATION
Mix the cuete with the ingredients, brown in the oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook with water to cover, onion, garlic and herbs until very soft. The meat is removed, sliced and placed in the sauce until it boils. It is served with mashed potatoes or white rice.
sauce: In two tablespoons of oil or butter, add the onion and fry the peanuts, taking care not to burn them, add the bread and fry it as well. This is ground with the tomato, the herbs and salt and pepper to taste. Strain and sauté in the remaining butter or oil until well seasoned.
PRESENTATION
Serve the sliced encacahuatado cuete on a round platter and garnished with Chinese parsley and a few peanuts.
