Follow this recipe and enjoy the flavor of some delicious shrimp in pumpkin flower sauce.

INGREDIENTS

To prepare the shrimp in pumpkin blossom sauce you will need: 1 kilo of very clean shrimp, peeled and cut into a butterfly, 2 sticks of butter.

For the sauce: 1 stick of butter, ½ finely chopped medium onion, 1 tablespoon of garlic oil, 1 kilo of pumpkin flower, 6 roasted poblano peppers, peeled, ginned and cut into thin strips, 1 liter of light white sauce.

For the white sauce: 1½ sticks of butter 4 tablespoons of flour 4 cups of milk, salt and pepper to taste. For 8 people.

PREPARATION

The shrimp are salted and sautéed for three minutes in the butter mixed with the garlic oil; they are kept warm, the sauce is made and the shrimp are added, letting it cook for two more minutes over a very low heat; are served immediately.

For the sauce: The pumpkin flower is very well cleaned by removing the stems and pistils and is roughly chopped. Put the onion to fry in the butter, add the poblano slices and the pumpkin flower, fry everything for three minutes and add the white sauce. Season and boil for three more minutes.

PRESENTATION

Shrimp in Pumpkin Blossom Sauce is served in a deep porcelain or silver platter adorned with a sprig of pumpkin blossoms in the center. It can be served with white rice.
