The chalupas are delicious snacks that are used to eat during the Independence of Mexico festivities. Here is the recipe!
INGREDIENTS
(For 8 people)
- 16 medium tortillas
- Oil for frying
- 1 1/2 cups of refried beans
- 3/4 of cup of sauce chopped (tomato, onion and green chili)
- 2 cups of chopped lettuce, washed and disinfected
- 1 whole chicken breast, cooked and shredded (optional)
- 3 cups carrot, peeled, coarsely grated and cooked
- 3 cups cooked and coarsely grated beets
- 300 grams of double cream cheese crumbled
- Salt to taste
PREPARATION
The toasts are fried until golden brown. They are spread with the beans, the chopped sauce, the chicken, the lettuce, the carrot, the beet and finally the cheese are added.
