TEMPLE AND FORMER CONVENT OF SAN JUAN BAUTISTA
Its façade is in a style that is close to the Herrerian style, with paired columns that frame some niches and with buttresses finished in a pyramidal shape at the ends. The interior of the enclosure was totally remodeled after 1930, when the Franciscan friars took over.
Of the conventual complex of San Juan Bautista, it is said that the parish was concluded in 1582 at the request of the daughter of Don Domingo de Guzmán, and that it was one of the first Dominican works in New Spain.
At the other end of the Centennial Garden you can see the access door that delimited the atrium of the temple.

CHAPEL OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (“LA CONCHITA”)
This chapel was probably built in the middle of the 18th century. It has a beautiful Baroque-style façade in which the access door stands out. Inside it preserves some well-made paintings.

CHAPEL OF SAN SEBASTIÁN CHIMALISTAC
It was built towards the last third of the 18th century in a part of what was the enormous property of the El Carmen convent. The simple structure preserves a beautiful baroque altarpiece, also from the 18th century.

TEMPLE AND FORMER CONVENT OF EL CARMEN
The monumental domes covered in tile with the coats of arms of the order stand out in this conventual complex, and the beautiful 18th-century altarpieces inside. The annex cloister currently houses a museum that exhibits religious art and various samples of everyday life from the 18th century.
TEMPLE AND FORMER CONVENT OF SAN JACINTO
The temple has a simple façade and inside it preserves a magnificent baroque altarpiece, a work of the 18th century, presided over by the image of the patron saint of the temple, adorned with oil paintings that reproduce scenes from the life of Saint Anthony.
