In the Volcán de Colima National Park, with an area of 22,200 hectares, there are two important volcanoes: the Fuego volcano, which still has fumaroles, and the Nevado, which has already been extinguished. Both, which are 9 km from each other, contrast notably by their shape: the first with a torn head; the second, with a pyramidal peak, which has made it compared to the Matterhorn in the Alps.
On the slopes of both colossi you can make an exciting 240 km long bike ride that lasts three days up and down deep ravines and mountains, while discovering interesting towns in Colima.
As for beaches, Colima has some of the best for water sports. Fishing is carried out in Manzanillo, it is internationally famous for the ease with which this sport is practiced and because the largest number of sailfish specimens in the world have been caught in its waters.
Pascuales Beach, which is located where the Armería River empties, is perfect for surfing. It overlooks the open sea, so its intense blue waters are deep and strong.
