This magnificent building was built around 1676 by the architect Carlos García Durango, in the typical style that has come to be called “Poblano Baroque”, combining the quarry facade with images of saints made in marble.

In the place there was, in the middle of the 16th century, a small chapel of the Brotherhood of Santa Veracruz and a hospital. The temple has six huge canvases with scenes from the life of the patron saint of La Concordia. Annexed to the temple is a building that today is a school and that once functioned as the exercise house of the oratorians.
