Manzanillo is one of the most important ports in the Mexican Pacific. Known as the "sailfish capital of the world", this destination offers ideal beaches for sunbathing or for practicing sport fishing for this coveted species. Find out!

FRIDAY

Start your visit to Manzanillo by staying at the wonderful Las Hadas Golf Resort & Marina resort, where you will spend a dream weekend. In this place you can enjoy a delicious dinner at the Legazpi restaurant before taking a night walk along its private beach and enjoying the freshness of the sea breeze.

SATURDAY

After breakfast you will be able to visit the Historic Center and the Main Square where the Monument to the Sailfish is located, a huge metal sculpture 25 meters high and 30 meters deep, created by the Chihuahuan artist Sebastián.

In the square you can enjoy the refreshing flavors of the tuba, a drink that is extracted from the honey of the palm flower, which can be prepared with fruits that give it a reddish hue, as well as peanuts to give it a special touch.

We recommend that you visit Avenida México, where you will find numerous handicraft shops that offer examples of various typical products of the region, such as ornamental objects made with shells and snails, hammocks, and high and low temperature pottery.

You can make a small stopover on your Saturday tour to visit the University Museum of Archeology, dedicated to the dissemination of the cultural past of western Mexico thanks to its didactic museography.

Towards the afternoon, to avoid being burned by the sun too much, you can go to La Audiencia beach, located on the Santiago Peninsula and formed by a small cove surrounded by palm trees. It is a beach with a moderate slope, good for practicing some sports and water activities such as skiing, banana and sailing, although it is also ideal for kayaking or fishing.

At dusk you can go to the Miguel de la Madrid coastal boulevard, where the main nightlife centers of the port are located, where you can listen to live trova or new song music, to dance to the rhythm of dance music, disco or salsa. .

SUNDAY

To enjoy your last day in this paradisiacal place, head to La Boquita Beach, located at the end of Santiago Bay and one of the busiest due to its milder waves that will invite you to take a good dip, rent a jet- sky, a board for windsurfing or diving or snorkeling.

Do not miss the opportunity to rent a horse in Playa Miramar so that you can travel the coast with tranquility and visit other equally attractive beaches, such as Playa Ventanas, one of the most dangerous due to its strong waves and the cliffs that surround it, as well as Playa de Oro and Olas Altas Beach.

If you are in the mood for a different activity, be sure to visit Manzanillo's golf courses, some of which are considered among the best in the world.
