The ascent to the cusp of the volcano at 4,461 meters above sea level, takes approximately four hours from the lodge, located at the end of the access road.

Once at the top, the view is indescribable and on clear days it is possible to see neighboring volcanoes such as Popocátepetl and Iztaccíhuatl, and to the east, the majestic Pico de Orizaba.
