Its construction began in 1545 in a complex that included the Mayor's Office, the Alhóndiga and the Royal Houses. The main façade is a beautiful composition that combines the Plateresque style of the door carved in quarry with vegetal motifs, and the balcony decorated in baroque style mortar. The balconies on the sides combine the fineness of their finishes with the strong texture of brick. Inside the building you will be able to appreciate a beautiful sample of frescoed murals by the Tlaxcala artist Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin, where the history of the town of Tlaxcala is reflected.
