A winding road that ends in a beautiful valley will lead you to Tilaco, where this beautiful example of the Baroque style stands.

The mission was built in the 18th century and its erection is attributed to Fray Juan Crespi. The complex has a small atrium that preserves part of its original chapels, the temple and a simple annex cloister. The facade of the temple is of baroque style that combines in an admirable way Solomonic columns and stipes; Thus, in the first body, the semi-circular access door is observed, on which a large veneer opens and on its sides the niches with the images of Saint Peter and Saint Paul framed by Solomonic columns.

This group is followed by a beautiful entablature with sirens and an emblem of the Franciscan order in the center. The choir window is almost theatrical, with curtains opened by two angels. On the sides you can see the sculptures of Saint Joseph with the Child and the Virgin, framed by robust stipes. The third section is excellent, as it shows Saint Francis as the central image, who seems to emerge from a stage whose curtain has been opened by two little angels, while at his sides two other musical angels welcome him.

At the extremes, the mood angels are striking, receiving the weight of the mixtilinear auction by leaning on some eagles. The interior of the temple has a Latin cross plan, with simple ornamentation painted on its walls.
