It is said that this mansion belonged to Don Antonio Alday.

It is said that this mansion belonged to Don Antonio Alday, although the popular councils circulated the version that the house was built in 1756 as the residence of the Marchioness, who would live separately from her husband. Its façade is in the Baroque style, resolved with beautiful ornamental details carved in quarry, highlighting the door frame that rises to the second level with a molded cornice and two pinnacle finials that frame a noble coat of arms.

The finish over the door is mixtilinear with quarry moldings that surround a small window; On the sides of the entrance doors and balconies open, the latter with excellent wrought iron railings. The interior patio is very beautiful and its arches show a certain influence of the Mudejar style.

Visit: Every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Avenida Francisco I. Madero núm. 41. House of the Count of Sierra Gorda in the city of Querétaro.
