Built by the Franciscan order between 1529 and 1664, the Cathedral has a façade decorated with simplicity, in a sober baroque style with highly elegant vegetal guides, while the side portal still shows some reminiscences of the indigenous influence in its ornamentation, especially in the auction, where symbols of the Passion of Christ are seen. On one side is the convent's gatehouse with its seven arches, while inside the temple there are some high-quality baroque altarpieces.
