A notable example of the decoration of a hacienda is that of La Guayana, owned by the lawyer César Muñoz.

In its splendor it served as a livestock and agricultural ranch and was also characterized by having some of the finest breed horses in the region.

Although its façade is austere, the interior is practically a museum. The corridors that connect the gardens and patios have semicircular arches and some flown arches. The furniture in the rooms is made of fine woods and the tables and dressers are combined with marble slabs.

The interior walls and ceilings are decorated in French style, while some walls facing the gardens are covered with polychrome mosaics. The glass in the rooms are opaque and in other corners the stained glass allows light to pass through.

Elegant patterned rugs and curtains complement the different spaces showing the hacienda as in its best days.

How to get there: The hacienda is located 9 kilometers north of the city of Aguascalientes, along the Pan-American highway.
