The MAP invites you to participate in the "First Kite Contest" that will take place next January.

Always interested in promoting the creativity of Mexican artisans, the Museum of Popular Art invites you to participate in the "First Kite Contest" that will take place in January 2008.

Those interested must design a kite (made of paper or cloth, in free style) of one to three meters wide and three to six meters long, without considering the tail, using only structures made with natural materials (palm, reed, etc. .). Plastics or metal will not be accepted, and the decorations must be made by hand, with traditional techniques.

The call will remain open until January 18; The winners will receive, among other prizes, the opportunity for their works to be exhibited in the central courtyard of the museum from February 16.

As an additional attraction, the Museum of Popular Art has placed the winning works of the First Mexican Piñata Contest in its central patio, as part of an exhibition that will remain open to the public until January 30, 2008.
