This set of 31 beautiful lakes has been gradually formed by the waters that descend from the mountains before reaching the Belisario Domínguez dam.

The runoffs have been wearing away the limestone rock and forming the bodies of water that in turn have created subterranean currents with beautiful emerald green colorations. They are populated with small fish and the environment is complemented by patches of jungle and tropical vegetation inhabited by birds and typical fauna of the region. The most attractive are called La Ceiba, La Garza, Vista Hermosa and Bosque Azul.

74 km southeast of the city of Comitán, on highway No. 190. Deviation to the left at km 63.
