A tour of its territory takes one through fantastic places. It is worth it, for example, to go south, in the border with Oaxaca and Guerrero, where we will find mountainous folds absolutely devoid of vegetation; It would seem that one is in one of the African deserts, but little by little the cacti begin to multiply, first ones like huge candles that some devout giant had offered to the mountain deities; and then others with many arms, similar to large candelabra, sometimes flowery, but most of the time very green; only when one looks at the bottom of the ravines, where squalid streams barely perceptible run, is the difference noticeable; infinity of plants are nourished with the vital liquid, but barely close to the banks in very narrow strips: papayas, sapotes, avocados, bananas and otatales are overflowing. Suddenly, that semi-aridity is filled with the striking plumes of the reed beds, whose presence is denoted long before by the smoke of the chacuacos from the multiple sugar mills.
