Pachuca is located 90 km from Mexico City. To get there, we suggest you take highway No. 85.

If you want to visit other nearby sites, you can choose Real del Monte or Mineral del Chico, picturesque towns that will give you a true picture of what was the peak of mining in this territory. Both are located on highway 85 12 and 18 km from Pachuca respectively. Along the same lines are the Ex-haciendas of San Miguel and Santa María Regla, which were famous at this same time for their methods of extraction and purification of minerals. The Hacienda de Santa María Regla can be visited daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The two sites are located on a local road that cuts off Highway 105 at the height of Omitlán, between Huasca de Ocampo and San Miguel Regla.

El Chico is also an attractive National Park where you can enjoy fresh air and an atmosphere full of dynamism. The facilities will allow you to practice camping or mountaineering activities; You can fish in the El Cedral dam, where trout abound. If your mood warrants a move to the east, you can practice paragliding in Tulancingo, 46 km east of Pachuca, along highway No. 130.

While in Pachuca you can also visit the chapel of Our Lady of Light, Churrigueresque style, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, located behind the temple of San Francisco. Despite the simplicity of its façade, inside there are magnificent examples of paintings and altarpieces in the Churrigueresque style, with sculptures of saints of the Franciscan order. This site can be visited daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Other options are the building of the Autonomous University of Hidalgo, built on the old Hospital of San Juan de Dios, the Royal Boxes, built in the seventeenth century and the Efrén Rebolledo Cultural Forum. While you are on your way, you can savor some of the delicious sweets that are made in Pachuca, such as trompadas, pumpkin seed ham or cocoles de piloncillo and anise seasoned with cajeta and cream, among other delicious examples of Hidalgo cuisine.
