This group was founded by the Franciscans around the year 1540, although later the Augustinian friars built the annexed convent and possibly gave the temple its current style.

It has an attractive façade in a sober baroque style, with paired columns on the sides of the door and a beautiful niche above it, where a crucifix in relief can be seen.

Inside it preserves good quality canvases with themes of the Passion of Jesus and a beautiful Churrigueresque baroque style altar dedicated to the patron saint.

The annexed convent is very attractive and houses a small chapel with paintings on the life of Jesus and a small baroque altarpiece.

In Singuilucan, which is located at kilometer 76 of federal highway no. 132 Mexico-Tuxpan.
