GUAYMAS SONORA. Civic celebration of the Day of the Navy. Naval combat with fireworks. Be sure to visit the Enchanted Forest, which is about 36 km away. NW of Guaymas. It is an incredible jungle of cacti of various species, including thousands of parrots.

YALALAG, OAXACA. In one of the oldest towns in Oaxaca, the day of San Antonio de Padua is celebrated with regional dances, fireworks, Malinche dance and processions. After sunset, the participants dance the Jarabe Yalalteco. Hidalgo Yalalag is located south of the city of Oaxaca, very close to the archaeological zone of Mitia; It is a place famous for its metal cross crafts.

CALPULALPAN, TLAXCALA. The day of San Antonio de Padua, in this interesting town founded in 1608, is celebrated with a popular fair and dances of Moors and Christians. Calpulalpan is one of the most important areas of Tlaxcala in terms of pulque production. It is located east of Mexico City, 37 kilometers from Texcoco.

CELAYA, GUANAJUATO. The San Antonio festival is celebrated in the neighborhood of the same name, with fireworks, music, dances and flower fights.

HUIXQUILUCAN, MEXICO. Fiesta de San Antonio, which is celebrated with dances of Moors, Concheros, Santiagueros, fireworks and fair. They generally postpone it to the Sunday after the San Antonio Tultitián festival.

CITY JUAREZ CHIHUAHUA. National Exhibition Fair (Expo-Juárez), commercial, industrial, agricultural, livestock and artisanal. It takes place on the grounds of the Chamizal National Park, which also has theaters, gardens, recreation centers and a stadium. It is estimated that the number of visitors to this fair amounts to 400 thousand people. We also recommend visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral, Borunda Park and the Museum of Art and Natural History in this city.

PAPANTLA, VERACRUZ. The day of Corpus Christi is celebrated with the dances of negritos, quetzales, guaguas and, in the atrium of the Parroquia, with the traditional show of the Flying Indians. Papantla means in Totonac “place of papanes”, a certain species of birds native to the region. It is worth knowing this city of winding and narrow streets and with a great colonial flavor. Visit the Enríquez Garden, whose floor is tiled and, 16 km away, the archaeological zone of Tajín. That same day the Vanilla Festival is celebrated, since Papantla is the largest producer of it in the whole country.

XICOTEPEC DE JUÁREZ, PUEBLA. The festivities in honor of San Juan consist of negritos and Santiagos dances. In the surroundings of Xicotepec you can admire magnificent forests with abundant fauna, which makes it very attractive for hunters. Delicious wines made from wild cherries are produced in the region. Through the streets you will be able to hear Nahuatl, Totonac and Huasteco speak.

XICOTEPEC DE JUÁREZ, PUEBLA. To the north of the state of Puebla is this picturesque town that celebrates San Juan Bautista, its patron saint, with dances of Negritos and Santiagueros. On this occasion there are also pilgrimages, fireworks and a popular fair. When visiting Xicotepec, where Nahuatl, Totonac, and Huasteco are still spoken, be sure to try the wild cherry wine called Acachul. NAVOJOA, SONORA. MARAVATÍO DE OCAMPO, MICHOACÁN. Feast of San Juan Bautista, patron of the town. It is celebrated with processions and dances of Las Rosas, Aztecas and Apaches. Near Maravatio there is a spa with medicinal waters.

PURÉPERO, MICHOACÁN. Patronal feast of San Juan. It is celebrated with dances, fireworks, music and dances by Viejitos, Reboceros and Yunteros.

SAN JUAN YAÉ, OAXACA. Patronal feast of San Juan Bautista, which lasts for eight days, with dances, fireworks, processions, music and dances of Conquest, Moors, Aztecs and Negritos. It begins on the 21st, with the slaughter of the cattle that are consumed during the days of festivities.
