The Cascadas de Basaseachi National Park is located 290 km from the city of Chihuahua, in the Municipality of Ocampo. 16 Chihuahua-Cuauhtémoc-La Junta, continuing another 90 km from this town to Tomochi and Basaseachi, where the diversion to the park is located

If you want to see other waterfalls in the area, we recommend visiting the Piedra Volada viewpoints, one of the most recent tourist attractions and perhaps the highest in the Copper Canyon (453 m). The channel of the fall and the river it feeds is very unstable, so that only in the rainy months is it possible to see them in all their richness, approximately between June and September, and even in winter.

You can also visit the small Abigail waterfall, 10 m high, which hides a cavity from which the waterfall can be seen from inside. Both are located in the Barranca de Candameña, a few kilometers from the mining town of Ocampo, very close to the state of Sonora.

Ocampo is one of the most picturesque communities in the region. Its houses are typical, in the style of the mining towns that developed in this area between the 18th and 19th centuries. In its vicinity are concentrated several populations of indigenous origin such as Jicamórachi, inhabited by Tarahumara and Yepachi, inhabited by Pimas. We recommend visiting this community at Easter, a time when striking religious ceremonies are held, and also to observe the architectural style of the 17th century mission that is located there. These settlements are located to the north of the park and a very short distance from it.
