41. Edificio Chrysler

Este es uno de los edificios emblemáticos de la ciudad de Nueva York. Durante un corto período ostentó el título del edificio más alto de Manhattan, hasta ser superado en 1930 por el Edificio Empire State.

El estilo arquitectónico del edificio es Art Deco. Si observas cuidadosamente la fachada exterior, podrás notar diversos elementos decorativos que caracterizan a este imponente edificio.

En las esquinas de la planta 61 sobresalen unas enormes águilas que miden aproximadamente 3 metros. En la planta 24 podrás observar unas piñas que tienen la misma altura que las águilas. En las esquinas de la planta 31, se aprecian decoraciones de los capó de los vehículos Chrysler de 1926.

La cúspide del edificio está conformado por una corona, compuesta por siete arcos, uno encima del otro, al final de los cuales hay una aguja gigantesca de acero inoxidable que se dirige hacia el cielo, como queriendo tocarlo.
