If your palate is a loyal fan of good wine, one of the best places in Baja California Guadalupe Valley, which you cannot miss, is Viñedos Las Nubes.

With broths with a strong presence, color and flavor as the main presentation letter, choosing the best option will be a challenge. So we invite you to visit this Baja California winery.

Where is the vineyard located and how do I access the site?

Just 30 minutes from Ensenada, a beautiful and welcoming city in the Mexican state of Baja California, there is an Ejido called El Porvenir, a town that belongs to the Valle de Guadalupe. Near this small community of no more than 1,500 inhabitants, the Las Nubes winery is housed.

Although there is an airport in Ensenada, it does not cover the main commercial routes, so the closest air option to Las Nubes is the Tijuana International Airport.

Once you have arrived in the most populated and cosmopolitan city in Baja California, it is very easy to get to Ensenada along the Tijuana-Rosarito-Ensenada tourist corridor highway, in an entertaining journey of 104 km and just over an hour.

Already being in the city where the famous Margarita cocktail came to the world, now you only have a short journey of 39 km to the Ejido El Porvenir.

You connect with the Mexico 3 branch of the Transpeninsular Highway towards Ensenada - Tecate and in approximately 30 minutes you will be seeing the Ejido El Porvenir. To the west of the town and specifically in Callejón Emiliano Zapata, is your long-awaited wine destination.

What is the history of Viñedo Las Nubes?

The Las Nubes project, started in 2008, is the most recent renowned vineyard in the Valle de Guadalupe. However, its precocious existence does not affect the quality of its wines.

The 12 hectares that started this wine-growing venture were cultivated in 2009, with the largest area, 3 hectares, being destined to the Nebbiolo varietal, due to its capacity to make wines with 100% of this type of grape.

For Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Garnacha and Carignan, 2 hectares were allocated for each varietal, while Tempranillo had to settle in principle with one hectare of vines.

In 2012, 2 hectares of Syrah were added to the plantation and at the same time the area planted with Tempranillo was expanded. Today, between experimental plantations and wine production, Las Nubes occupies 19 hectares of crops.

The winery's wines have won renowned awards and the 4 gold medals obtained in the Ensenada Tierra de Vino International Competition speak for themselves.

Las Nubes wines are known nationally and internationally and the keys to their success are given by the powerful fruity flavor and the appropriate prices, especially taking into account the high quality of the product.

What red wines can I taste at Las Nubes and what are their prices?

Las Nubes wines are characterized by their cleanliness and deep purple tones, being broths with a hypnotizing aroma, thanks to the combination of various nuts.

The aroma of the wines from the winery can be considered strong, but not at all annoying, and the sensation on the palate leaves no doubt that you are in front of imposing quality drinks.

The best presentation of the vineyard is undoubtedly Nebbiolo, a wine with a dense texture and spicy flavor, and the only one from the Las Nubes winery to be made 100% with a single grape.

This red is dark in appearance and has a powerful flavor, garnished with hints of figs and raisins. When you taste the Nebbiolo de Las Nubes with its 13.9 degrees of alcohol, you know that you are in the presence of something special.

La Bodega de Las Nubes began to market this jewel in 2008 and its current price is in the range of 510 to 880 pesos.

The Nimbus is another masterpiece from Viñedo Las Nubes. The combination of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo make this red wine possible, which has an intense aroma of spices and a thick texture.

You can also appreciate an almost imperceptible touch of vanilla, which gives it a characteristic flavor. In places specialized in winemaking such as La Europea, you can buy this red for $ 515, an excellent quality / price ratio.

The third masterpiece under the Las Nubes brand is the red Cumulus. Made from Garnacha, Carignan and Tempranillo, it is a wine with a strong body and a pleasant smell of cloves and pepper.

It is dark reddish in color, like its brothers, and its flavor leaves a mixture of spices combined with good acidity. Cumulus began to be marketed in 2008 and is the cheapest red in Las Nubes, since you can buy it for $ 485.

In the category of "Young Reds" you will find the pleasant surprise of the Selección de Barricas wine.

The combination of Carignan (also called Cariñena) and Garnacha, make the perfect blend for this vigorous ruby-colored wine, with a floral aroma, which transmits its young red personality.

The Selección de Barricas is a wine with an intense and unique flavor. Its price of $ 285 is another good reason for you to dare to taste this young wine.

What are the best white and rosé wines from Las Nubes?

Not everything is red wine in Las Nubes. The Kuiiy is a friendly white wine made up of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, with a slight apple smell and a pleasant, dry, citrus flavor.

It is the perfect accompaniment to a good ceviche due to its freshness. The Kuiiy is very well priced, as it can be found for up to $ 240 in specialty wine stores.

The combination of Garnacha and Carignan give life to the only rosé wine made in Las Nubes. Jaak is a broth that has a light and bright salmon color.

Its aroma and fruity flavor highlight the presence of peach, melon and strawberries. It is a healthy wine for all audiences, attributes to which we must add an excellent price, which is around $ 170.

The Jaak de Las Nubes label is undoubtedly a very convenient option for informal meals with family and friends, of a large number of people.

Any tour or itinerary that I can be part of?
