Thus, the flavor is represented by the typical enchiladas, the variety of tamales possibly inherited from the Bajío and the delicious barbecue, which is cooked here with specially prepared rams. Among the traditional dishes of the city of Querétaro is the chicken in the garden, also called chicken from the hortelano, which is prepared with wine, sugar, pears, apples and peaches, apart from garlic, tomato, onion and spices, which make it a real delicacy.

In the rest of the state we can find various delicacies, which are often considered as snacks, such as the delicious cured meats and the Serrano enchiladas from the Sierra Gorda; the fantastic acamayas, which are huge river shrimp that are served with garlic sauce or chipotle; the carnitas from Huimilpan, Pedro Escobedo, Tequisquiapan or San Juan del Río. There is something for all tastes, and in the field of desserts, the region makes very good piloncillo and honey sweets, delicious snows from La Cañada and many things with flavor and tradition.

The best thing, almost in all cases, is to let yourself be carried away by what they offer us throughout our trip and simply enjoy it.
