This beautiful place, whose main attraction is the Temple of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, also serves as a good base of operations to visit other places such as the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve.

-The Temple of Our Lady of the Snows is located in the beautiful Tamaulipas town of Palmillas, with visiting hours from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

-Palmillas is located 95 km southwest of Ciudad Victoria, following highway no. 101.

-Very close to Palmillas is the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, which incorporates different examples of vegetation typical of forest and jungle ecosystems, in particular the so-called mountain mesophilic forest or cloud forest, which gives that particular mysterious and almost Heavenly which makes it an enormously attractive place to visit. -Another tourist alternative to expand during your visit to Tamaulipas is Tula, one of the oldest towns in Tamaulipas, founded around 1617, by Fray Juan Bautista Mollinedo, the same one who began the construction of the Temple of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves in Palmillas . Most of the buildings in Tula date from the 19th century, evoking a time of prosperity and economic prestige, typical of the independent era. The predominant style in its structures is neoclassical, highlighting a kiosk made of cast iron. If you have the opportunity, also take time to appreciate the handicrafts made from palm that are produced on site. Tula is located northwest of Bustamante by highway no. 101, at km 13.5 of Ciudad Victoria.
