In the state of Colima there are some spas and springs that offer great options for fun. Unknown Mexico recommends some of them.

At the western end of the Transversal Volcanic Axis is the state of Colima, whose capital (the city of Colima) is located less than 35 km. from the slopes of the Volcan de Fuego, brother of the Nevado de Colima, which does not belong to Colima but to Jalisco. Yawning from time to time some fumaroles and shaking its enormous body, asleep but latent, for a moment, the Volcán de Fuego is a clear indication of the internal activity of the earth in this area. The presence of mountains, in the north and east, gives rise to cold water springs and some geographical features of great interest.

Tampumachay
It is located in Los Ortices, 17 km. south of Colima on Highway 110. In addition to its two pools, a wading pool and green areas with palm trees and mango trees, the attraction here is the suspension bridge that crosses a small ravine. The spa has hotel service and a restaurant-bar. 2 km. from this place, by gap, there are some well-known caves in the region.

Cold water
Located 17 km. from Colima by the highway that goes to Minatitlán. Rustic spa that has a transparent water spring at room temperature that forms a small pit surrounded by abundant vegetation. Ideal for organizing picnics.

Los Amiales
It is located 18 km. south of Coquimatlán. Small spring of transparent and cold water that rises on the side of a hill and runs down to a small, shallow pond. There it joins a stream that makes its way through the abundant vegetation. Next to the pond there is a rocky esplanade sheltered by lush trees.

The jump
In Minatitlán the Peña Colorada Mine is located and 1 km. from this, the Marabasco River, which cascades down. In the dry season, when the torrent is much less powerful, people go to the ravine to bathe in the pools that form under the waterfall.

Other spas and springs
Agua Dulce, at km. 18 of the Villa de Alvarez-Minatitlán highway, taking the deviation to the left and 250 m away, you will find this natural pond surrounded by willows and fig trees. Carrizalillo II, north of Colima, 15 km. from the municipal seat of Cuauhtémoc is the lagoon, near which you can camp. La Presa, one kilometer from Ixtlahuacán, a pond surrounded by lush vegetation.

La Guaracha is located in Tecomán, a rustic pond originated by a spring. El Puertecito, a series of natural ponds 16 km. of Armory. The site has rustic dining rooms and a parking area. Another spring 5.5 km from this last town is the Charco Verde, also with rustic dining rooms and parking. On weekends snacks and soft drinks are sold.
